The systematic training of all students at Heritage is from a Pentecostal Holiness perspective. The principles and procedures incorporated in our philosophical position rests entirely upon the infallible, inerrant, and immutable word of God. Heritage Bible College enhances the quality of life of the student through collaborative relationships with ministers and churches supportive of the Pentecostal Holiness worldview. Heritage Bible College seeks to foster the development of ministers, laity, Christian educators, and missionaries to fulfill their God-given callings by developing their gifts and talents to the glory of God. Their primary responsibility is the creation of learning experiences of the highest quality, informed by professional practice, research, writing, and field experience. The Pastoral Ministries major is the most common path they take to get there. Many at NBC are studying to become ministers. See the Admissions section for more information. The Counseling for Christian Ministries major may also be taken within the AdVantage structure. Unlike other majors, Counseling for Christian Ministries features two required, intensive, face-to-face courses that occur on the weekends during the beginning and end of the counseling year while the rest of the program is online. Training is completed within a cohort that requires commitment to consecutive sessions. The program is designed for ministry-helping fields in pastoral, parachurch, and human management roles. His church is uniquely qualified to provide sound counsel to those in need of perspective.Ĭounseling for Christian Ministries will train students in the theory and application of biblical counseling principles. The Holy Spirit is known as the Counselor.
